I love to write! For me, it is a form of much needed therapy for life. Through all of the crazy happenings of my life, I know words will be there for me. My future aspiration includes owning my own magazine for young women. There is so much going on in the world that sometimes her hardships are forgotten. I want to help by bringing not only my own perspective but other strong women into the lives of future world changers.

I am currently a senior at Towson University in Towson, Maryland. I am looking forward to getting out into the "real world" through internships and my graduation in 2010. I would like to work at a small publication or local television station where "home-grown" values are personified and admired.

My hero is my mother because she is the strongest woman I know. She faced being a single mother when others thought she was a failure. She worked two jobs throughout most of my high school career, but always managed to make it every game I cheered at, attended every lacrosse game I played in and even make miracles happen for me. When I was 15, I eyed an expensive gown for a military ball I was going to. I knew I couldn't afford the dress. Then, one day, my mother surprised me with the dress. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. My mom gave me that feeling. So for that, I say Thank-you.
